Hepatitis B

There are several new drugs available to induce and maintain remission of chronic Hepatitis B infection which include Tenofovir, Entecavir and Adefiovir. We also manage Hepatitis B in pregnancy to prevent infection spreading from mother to a baby.

Hepatitis C

The most exciting breakthrough recently is in Hepatitis C, where new drugs called direct-acting antiviral drugs have been shown to totally cure Hepatitis C. Under our supervision application can be made for approval to prescribe these new drug regimes that take only 3 months to cure Hepatitis C. There is no need for injections of Interferon anymore as the new class of anti-Hep C drugs are all oral and the new drugs have very few side effects.

We also offer ongoing treatment and cancer screening for patients with chronic infection.
